i can guarantee that you have lost probably 40-50% of your light output. Mind you it looks good, it must be kinda ****ty at night

I have an overlay that covers everything but the main lamps. I'll have to dig up the pics, unless Anthony can post them up .

^^^Yea thats exactly what you do. The 2011 Sport Maximas come with those headlights like that already, thats why Shades has them.

The 11 sport only has one part black. Personally if you're gonna black it out the only way to really do it is bake them and black out both pieces inside the housing. Maybe you have to see them both to tell if you haven't seen them both close up, but the baked ones look 100x better than the stock 11 sports in my opinion.

Edit: Here's some pics from when i did mine. If you look at them then the 11 sports you'll see that i blacked out both of the pieces inside the housing.

In agree with you 100% Mrodenberg, I have the 2011 Headlights on my 2010, but to have the entire thing painted does look alot better.

Yeah not knocking the 11s. They look good and it's cool you got em in a deal with your body shop. Just saying if you have the 09-10s i wouldn't pay money to get the 11 sports when you can completely black them out in 2 hours with a $5 can of paint.

easier/cheaper to bring em to a good shop to paint em like the 2011's? or better off ordering 2011's to replace my 09's?

The 2011s cost me 1600 bucks. I got them when I crashed my car, told the bodyshop to order those instead of 2010's. So I wouldnt recomend it, just get them painted somewhere, will look just as good, maybe even better.

Dont worry about it bro. Yea its not worth it, these 2011s cost me 1600 bucks!!! Thats retarded, but insurance picked up the bill so It was worth it for me. I wouldnt've bought these on my own.

here's a pic of mine before putting back on the whip, like KMoney I painted cause it just looks so much more professional. IMO tinted headlights looks lazy and from a safety perspective is dumb cause you're reducing headlight output, but to each their own.

Used the Lamin-X 6% on my 2011 to give it just a little tint.

I put the Stillen Black Chrome Speed Grill. The directions say to spray paint the OEM grill black. I did that. My only problem is that you can still see the area where the Nissan symbol was.
