EEsjunin's White Horse -2009 SV evolution
Yes you can! as the matter of fact thats what i did for the grille. I plasti dip ( 1 coat only), then lightly taped off ( and there is a trick to that!) the whit areas to be painted and then colro matched it to the car.
But if you are not doing any lines just one color, then yes, you can plasti dip it couple times light coats but several to smooth it out, then prime it couple of times and off to the car color and clear coat...
removing the whole thing is very very easy! Just let it dry enough otherwise it will catch all the fingerprints when you put the pressure to it
Good luck, keep u sposted on how that will work for you!
The BIB is done
looks mint imo....
what i did, since the plasti dip doenst leave the straight edge( thats actually not true, i used xacto knife slightly pressing at the joints between the tape and tha dip, came out mint, but since i already bought the pin stripe) i used 1/8" pin stripe to crate a straight lines...to my surprise it looks good!
Pics to share...better pics to come..iphone for now

. I've never seen this style before... These pics make me regret not getting white

BTW love what you have done with yours! Going to do headlights in the same manner as yours soon

Thank you sir!
^ yes..it should be coming in this week.
Since routing them to the airbox isnt feasible, i decided to make the engine bay breathe better....so i am putting filters into the scoops and going to have them act as an additional air circulation

Wow that sounds really interesting def take pics man cant wait to see it
Good question.
Well, coming from MB i know that the E class has CF diffusers ready available...so i inquired to some of the selleres and owners to get me the measurements to see if they would fit right on...
Sadly enough, everyone promised but noone responded...
so i gave up

^ Bought it straight from Stillen website. Body shop had it painted for me, but my rates shouldnt be comparable since my body owns the shop...but from what i hear its about 100-150 to paint ...especially if you have a 3 step paint... but by looking at your cig...you have Winter Forest white? do you mean Winter Frost white? if so thats a 3 step paint process... To put it on , you can do that eaily yourself
Couple of shots in the rain...with wheels plasti dipped into white...i am thinking little to bright in comparison with the car...sooo will have to color match to see how that might look...but i am thinking this will look great

and looking ahead...what do you think of these stripes and fog light area coloring? I am not ocmpletely sold on either just yet

I really like your car ALOT but I don't like the white wheels or the stripes at all, no offense. And the fog light area doesn't look bad but I think it looks better without it. But to each is own. Otherwise your car is really nice. Seeing your car with the drop I think talked me into doing it. Wasn't sure how it'd look with the 18's but i like it!! Keep on modding!!!
In my opinion nissan put together a nice smooth design to start with. Fog lights are OK, but in my opinion the other mods take away from the appeal of the car and may make if diffucult for you to sell it in the future. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your mods. As they say, different strokes for different folks
Yes..the rims will be in the spring( i hope
)...the door handles- i got some white CFvinyl...so thats next
The stripe and the fog is tempting...the wheels are going to be redone in the car matching color...Thanks!
Too much out of comfort zone? he he he ....just putting ideas out there
Thanks for your opinion!
I have never had a problem selling a tastefully modded car...in the area where i live those thrive!

car looks great, love teh grille area but i think with the grille area apperaing so large the hood vents look a little too small and out of proportion. Can you get slightly laerger ones to even it out? I like the fog light area idea but not the stripes.

^ Hahaha true!
Not a big fan of racing stripe...but will p-shop it...to see how it might look for others.
I might just plasti dip those stripes to see what it might look like...just for fun...possibly sprint time now that the good weather is running out

Just found this thread searching for someone who also thought to do white plasti dip on the wheels. I think the white looks great on the wheels personally. Everyone blacks them out (not just talking about the Maxima with that either), which is why I wanted to try the opposite. I am wondering two things however.
1. Do they get as horribly dirty as people say? I mean, cars are out on dirty roads and they get dirty. I'm not one to feel the need to have a perfect sparkling ride 100% of the time, but if my rims are noticeably dirty in less than a week, that'd be somewhat an issue.
2. I wonder if you used the Pearl-izer Enhancer listed on the plastidip website if the color would match better. The official name of the color is "Winter Frost Pearl", afterall.
Food for thought...
**Edit**
My dealer called it Winter Frost Pearl. I'm now learning there's Winter Frost and Pearl White. Looking on the Nissan website, there is only Pearl White. Whatever it is, my car clearly has a somewhat pearl look to it in the sunlight. 2012 S

Did you need wheel spacers? Or is everything fine with the stock 18's?

thank you!
To answer that, yes since the plasti dip is technically a textured paint i noticed that the dirt stay longer. SO i would recommend actually, a slim coat of plasti dip then tri coat it to color match the car and the clear coat. The smoother it is the less chance the dirst will stay and easier it si to clean.
Well i got Winter Frost, per color code...and technically its off white with a pearl mid coat.
