Front Wheels noise.

Whenever I drive slowly/fast I have a whistling/screeching sound comming from my front wheels. My mechanic said it can't be the brakes/brake pads/rotors or calipers. He said it's the hub bearing which is in the center of the rotor. We changed it just now and I went for a test drive I still have that sound and it's annoying!

Anyone had this problem? If you did please help me out here Thank You in advance.

Your mechanic sounds rather presumptuous. There are a variety of sounds that can come from brakes/brake pads/rotors or calipers.

I used to sometimes have that problem when driving dirt roads in southern Arizona. It was usually a pebble caught in a way that would rub against the front disc. I haven't had that problem with my last few Maximas, and had assumed they had redesigned things to prevent that, but don't really know.

Im thinking it could be the rotors... But I seen a thread here for a 6 Gen. The owner had the same issue and he replaced the wheel bearing he still had the same problem... Everyone says it's the wheel bearing. Should it be greased more or it wasn't installed the right way? I have the sound from the 2 front wheels.

A bad wheel bearing will make your car sound like a skateboard at any speed. Check the rotors. It can be a bent dust shield but I think 7gs don't have dust shields. It can be a pebble/small rock stuck somewhere in your rotor.

It was the rotor's.

From the potholes that I hit here in f'n NYC which I try to dodge all the time... the front ones were bent a little and I had to replace them to the new OEM Nissan, all good now.
