Just got my 2012 Maxima Premium with tech package and some other goodies. I want to drop a sub in my car, so I'm just wondering what anyone else out there may have done in terms of sub and amps.

Also, what about EQ for the sound system. The stock radio's EQ sucks, was wondering if there are any after-market solutions for that.

I have a 12" FI SSD. It's custom hand made in the US. Ported box tuned to 32hz. Amp is MTX 1000XD. It gets very loud and sounds good.

What hi and low converter do u recommend?

 

i personnaly installed an alpine PXA-H800 sound processor with four RF power series amps and it works with the factory system so that u can still use the bluetooth,steering wheel controls and radio volume and cd player. this unit basically turns ur car into a sound studio. i went a little crazy with my system but im into SQ so it sounds insane i get lots of compliments. but i guess it all comes down to how far u wanna take it?

 

I replaced the front deck with one from Pioneer, it allows for a lot of audio customization rather than the standard OEM deck, also more options for audio inputs, outputs and video ins and outs. I have 3 amps along with the factory amp, 2 Kicker 12 L7z (bass), and a rear deck of 4 8"s (mids) and 4 1"s (tweeters)
