I'm not sure I'd drop $60 on a set of LED's that according to reviews, don't really look that great. Many people thought the light output was not what they hoped in the projector lens and a few reviews stated the color was more purplish than HID colored white/blue. Just seems like a good chunk of change to drop on that.

If it were me, I'd be more interested in the strip light to mount outside of the fog light that has switchback tech. If they fit in the plastic housing just to the outside of the fog light housing, that is were I'd put my $$. Just me though!!

This. Pretty much worthless.

Search the 7th gen section. Someone recently got some halogen bulbs that were whiter than stock.

I think it's Sylvania?? that offers an ultra white bulb. I think they are priced around $40 a set and offer a white light that is still useful.

Easiest solution is to buy a set from Walmart and if they aren't white enough for your preference, take them back!

I tried some LED fogs and they did not put out the light like I would have hoped.
I went with these instead which are a nice improvement over the stock color.

I got a set of "super white" bulbs off ebay for $8. They look much better than stock...see how well they hold up.

How long have you had them on for? Some review say they blow out really quick. Any issues with you?

I only had them for a few months with no issues, not sure what kind of warranty they carry. If you do go with these, make sure you wear latex gloves as to not to touch the bulb glass with your bare hands. I also ended up using a microfiber towel and screwdriver to clean the inside of fog lens as they were hazy.

I have VLEDS 6k White LEDS. Honestly, the first pair one of them was broken or defective, and then they sent me new ones. I like them alot. My car is pretty bright when I just have my fogs only on. Not as bright as HIDs, but I think it was worth the mod.

Just out of curiosity, why not get a plug and play hid kit for your fogs? They are plug and play and are reliable and are a huge improvement over stock

sounds like the OP doesn't want to go through the hassle of mounting the ballast somewhere (Even though its pretty easy and quick)

Just installed these now. Not as white as I was hoping. Don't match the HID's well.

Anything whiter than this?

yup, i was reading on another forum (with pics) about LED replacements. the LED is a tad bit brighter and look better that stock halogen builbs, but if you really want some thing bright 6K-8K HIDs would be best

I'm interested in this too. I really don't care about the light output as much as the color. I just want something that matches the same color as the stock D2S hid's.

Just for some light output, I'll just make sure they're SMD led's.

The reason why I don't want to put HID's in the fogs is because I don't want to drill through the dust cover. Unless you don't have to do that with these cars. I thought I remember skimming through one of the threads about how you have to do that. If I don't have to I'll get a kit. Thoughts?

This post is a little old, but I've tried about five different bulbs including xtravision and the best option I've tried so far are the led bulbs from KBcarstuff. They match the stock hid color almost exactly and are fairly bright. I was looking for more color match than light output so they aren't as good in the fog as the halogens.

Is this just plug and play ? Or did you need a ballast.

Those don't need a ballast, I buy almost all my leds from vleds I'm sure they are decent, but the nokyas will be brighter.
