Although I love the concept of where you guys are headed, I must say that the interface and displays seem somewhat primitive to what's out nowadays. obviously there aren't any units like yours out on the market as far a factory integration but I would rather go completely aftermarket if I needed to do something with my Maxima.

I love the WiFi, radar, net browser features but with it running a windows CE and possibly a slower processor, it seems somewhat slow and laggy when switching applications. Also, the Nav display reminds of the very first generation Magellan nav units.

Just my two cents, but my opinion might not be valid to others as a it may be exactly what you're looking for.
i agree, the cadillac solution was not designed by me or my company. just added our nav box. but the nissan solution is good for sure. if you havent seen the prodigy 1.2 check it out here.

the nissan video posted earlier was 2 years old. the new systems are faster and have much better graphics. the full android solution is releasing this year as well.

but to each his own. not everyone will like every solution that is out there. i would never put a 2 din in the dash of this car, to me it kind of degrades the luxury that nissan finally gave this car.

was just posting it up as a solution to put nav and camera in a color screen system.

The android solution sounds interesting. I already have everything but I bet this would be a hit with the guys on the forum.

Going back to this.. the only way is to go custom on a SV with color screen. there is no other way becuase its such a hassle.. unless you take it all apart. get the S AC controls, the S plastic assembly that controls the AC.. (not sure if it comes with the SV package).. i mean its really a PITA.

In other News, i got this going on.. felt like bragging a bit. 2 screens and relocated the HVAC screen to the bottom.

Out of curiosity, what did that cost you for the relocation of the HVAC screen? I am looking to doing something similar but put a 7" Android screen up top and keep the factory stereo. If you moved yourself, could you post how?

I'm sure there's a lot more to it than just a simple how to post. U really have to know what ur doing or even a concept of what ur doing before getting into something like this.

its a long process, that starts off with the DOuble din on the bottom, then you buy a 7 inch headrest screen that is plugged and controlled by the double din radio. and lastly, alost of cutting and molding on the bottom piece to fit the HVAC screen, and extend the wires of the plug where it connects to. its all on the 7th gen group on FB i posted it all. when i get a chance i will make a post here so you guys could guide yourselves.. it can be done in a day.

Does anyone know where the link to the post that Bryan is talking about? Or on Facebook where he shows the setup with the relocation of the HVAC underneath?
