Nav bypass for video/dvd and destination entry

I've read the bypass sticky for the 7th Gen maxima and have decided that I too wanted to do this but I wanted the mod to be a bit more custom. Since this car is a newer car I don't want to be drilling holes and installing switches of any kind if its not truly necessary.

My approach is to use the smartkey slot on the dash to activate and deactivate the bypass. By just inserting the key, u activate the bypass, u can even take the key out afterwards without having it deactivate the bypass. To deactive u simply remove and reinsert the key if already inserted or insert the key if already removed.

My other option was to use either the lock or unlock switch to activate/deactivate as well but the only thing I thought about that was I didn't know how I felt about the locks being switched just to do the bypass. Its not something I would use every day so it won't hurt the locks but using a couple times a week. I will start this mod on Wednesday in the car. Still the the research and development stage but I have the idea and it looks good in my head and on paper so just need to put it into action.
