Cornering Lights on 7th Gen Maximas

I have ran searches on this and other forums but can't find anything specific to the 7th Generation. Unless I am mistaken, it looks like no one has modded their 7th Gen Maximas to have Cornering Lights (a lamp that turns on and illumates the corner/side of a road, which assists with turning in the dark).

Is something like this even possible? Unlike the older Maximas where the Cornering Lights were separate from the headlamps, maybe modded headlamps exist for the 7th Gen exist? It's so strange that Nissan did away with Cornering Lights.

FYI: I feel like my headlights barely light up the sides of roads. It could be a Headlight Alignment Issue, which I'm researching in this other thread. But I get the feeling that even if properly aligned, it still wouldn't have a wide angle beam because HIDs shoot straight (unlike halogens).

the DRLs I mounted on the brake ducts are angled and light up the sides quite a bit for me; unplanned benefit. then again i never really had an issue with being able to see when turning

I'd get in touch with KMoney and see if he could modify your existing headlights to include LED's that shined towards the corner. I know he recently completed a few on his facebook page, however they were more modded towards the Audi look and I don't think they were created to really try and light up the corners at night.

An easy fix might be swapping your fog light bulbs out for some of the newer Super Bright bulbs. It would be an easy & cheap alternative to at least try first.

I've ALWAYS admired your DRLs. If I remember reading correctly (in the giant LED thread), I think you are using VLEDs for your DRL lights mounted on the Brake ducts?

Interesting suggestions! Can you share a picture of the LED's mounted in the corner of existing headlights? Also, do you know where KMoney resides in? I'm in the New England area (CT, NY, RI, MA).

Also, can you share with me a link to the Super Bright bulbs?

Thank you, again.

Any walmart or other automotive place would have the lights. I know a lot of people use the Sylvania Silver Star brand around here. They are very bright, have more of a white light then a yellowish tint like the existing fogs do.

KMoney is somewhere around you... New York I believe??

yeah v-leds switchback DRL's. had to trim them to fit, but everyone says they look factory the way they're installed. Kmoney lives in NY so can help you with all kinds of stuff

I'm not certain but I seem to recall my mom's 92 nissan stanza having cornering lights. When you turned on the turn signal, the side you turned on would have a light come on to illuminate the corner like you said.

These lights are one of the things I really miss from my 2007...plus the suede/felt trim on the doors.

Yeah the 90-92 Stanza had had them, as far as the Max goes the 1st gen, 97-99, 00-03 and 09-current did not have them. When I had my 2nd and 3rd gen I loved that feature.
