Service engine soon.

You already know what I have, but just in case, I have a nissan maxima 2011. My service engine light came on this morning, I tested out the car, and drove. Seems like nothing wrong with it, but the light is still on. What do you guys think it is ? Some of guys said, it's a sensor, but I rather get advice from the maxima heads on here.

Could be just a sensor, but you won't know for sure until the code is pulled. I fyou're out of warranty, just take it to Autozone and have them check the code it's throwing.

Most common cause is loose gas cap.

Ok, I still have warranty on it, but just wanted to know what it is because dint want to leave the car there the whole day in the dealership for something simple. I'll take a look at the gas cap, but I doubt that's the reason cause I always tighten up the gas cap. If anyone else can help out, that would be great. Thanks !

Get Autozone to read the code and clear it and then see if it comes back. I had to do that on my Chevy and it hasnt come back again. I think they just like screwing with us when the lites all lite up,

I'm heading into the dealer this morning to figure out what's wrong with car. It isn't the gas cap cause I did tighten the gas cap, and it's still showing up service engine soon. I'll let you guys know the update about what happened, and also what Code that its giving.

Well it does take a few trips and a few start up and offs for it to go off if it is the gas cap and you re tightend it.

Just got back, and the dealership told me, that's its some sort of air manifold. It's not a huge problem, but want to take care of it. Anyway, it's good that I went to the dealership. Thank god I still have the warranty !
