just cause it says its for 02-06 doesnt mean it wont work... i think it will... its the same engine lol

Do a little research on the FWD VQ35 and you will see why it won't work.

In short, VERY short.
Heads, IM, CVTC, oil pans, among quite a few other items are different. In the case of this thread, the IM will not bolt up, as it has different mounting holes, 1 due to the fact that it (newer VQ) uses a different IM, and different heads (IM bolts to heads) therefore, they are not backward interchangeable/compatible.
