Anyone have any problems with the cold air intake?
I just installed a k&n typhoon intake and I turned my car on and the check engine light came on and the car wouldn't rev. But after the third time the car finally recognized the new intake in its system and I took it for a test drive but it was a no go. It wouldn't let me drive over 50 km/h. Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix this? Thanks!

So if I do that it should work? I don't have to go to nissan dealership and let them reprogram it? Will I have problems with the check engine light?

I have the same K&N and it has been running good for the last 30k. No problems here. The shop that did the install decided not to install a bracket that could break... Sorry I can't offer help with the check engine light, but it should be a quick fix... Maybe call K&N customer support. They are good.

Then remove the old box, trim the tube from the engine, remove the plastic exhaust piece that attaches to the bottom of the old airbox.
Once you have everything removed clean it up a bit inside that area to prevent any loose debris from being sucked into your new filter.
It wasn't until after I had everything installed that I reconnected the battery, started it up and it was all good.
Disconnecting the battery, resets the ECU. You'll know you did this because you'll have to reprogram your power windows and radio stations.
Post a pic after you install it. Good luck, again! Lol

How do you like the K&N?? I have an Injen in mine and wonder how others feel about the other brands. I'm about to have a Stillen Intake that I'm going to get off of a buddy, has anyone tried/heard the Stillen compared to the Injen? Are there any differences in +HP? Or K&N vs. Injen? I've heard they are all pretty much the same performance-wise, some just look cooler than others.

Is the Injen loud? I can tell you the Stillen is. I bought and removed the Stillen in the same day. Went with a aFe Dry S Filter and called it a day. Question to the OP, is the K&N MAF tube the same diameter as the Nissan OEM MAF tube?

Point I'm making while others may say its too loud I personally think its fine. No drone either and I actually hear it more on lower rpm's than higher.
Can't comment on the injen as I haven't heard it in person yet.

K&n typhoon 69 series is great! Love the sound. Totally can hear it while cruising. It's not too loud. Just a low growl. I can feel a difference in acceleration. And when you hit 5000 rpm it's loud enough. I'm always flooring it just to hear it! It's great. Very happy with the product.

I have the same intake DCpatters mentioned. Honestly I think it is perfect. Not too loud not too quiet. I had a true CAI Fujita in my 6th Gen that was still louder than the Stillen.
