Morimoto 3Five bulbs

Hello everyone, quick question that I hope someone can answer because you guys do indeed know pretty much everything. Anyway, I installed my Morimoto 3Five 6000k bulbs from theretrofitsouce.com today and after verifying they do in fact work, I noticed that the passenger side has a purpleish (sort of 8000k) tint to it an the drivers side has the actual 6000 k bluish tint to it. Is this normal? Is it possible that the bulbs are in fact 2 different color temps even though they don't make 8000k? I will take pics of night and day to show you what I mean? Also, I did email TRS an I am just waiting for a response.
Please help...

Ensure that you installed the bulbs correctly, as well as aim your headlights at a light colored wall so that you have a good comparison between the two. Perhaps your viewing angles at the headlights is the cause of the weird colors. Just eliminating the variables here, so once you have verified that the bulbs are indeed different colors, TRS has great customer service. You should have no problems.

Yes bulbs are installed correctly, I triple checked. What I will do is what you recommend with the wall test. Could it be that the bulbs are indeed the same temp but just giving off a different color? Both bulbs did state 6000k on them.

New bulbs always react wierd
Let them work themselves in for about 25-50 hours and they should be fine
I had same issue with my 5k bulbs from rfs and after a while they burned the proper colour

TRS has pretty good customer service, if you let them know there's a pretty good chance that they will just swap the set out with you with a new set.

Ok guys, TRS also stated to give the bulbs 20 hours to fully break in. The also said that if after 20 hours and the color does in fact not change or match then they will swap for new bulbs to accommodate me. Awesome customer service!!! Anyway, I will take everyone here and TRS advice and let them break in. Also I will take some pics tonight because you can't even tell if the lights are on in the daytime. Thanks for your advice guys!

If you want those twenty hours to come quicker, turn your lights on every time you drive (night time or not). That's what I usually do.

Absolutely... I love driving around with headlights on all the time just for the simple fact the car looks great with HIDs and NYC drivers can't drive so it helps them to notice me...

Hey guys and girls, a little update since I got these bulbs. I gave them the 20+ hours of break in time and I still feel the bulbs are not the same temperature color. Take a look at the pic below and let me know what you think. I believe the pass(right) side is a crisp cool 6000k color while the driver(left) side is a dull off color 6000k? Please help with your advice.

It does look like the driver side is off color and dimmer.
Contact TRS for a replacement.

If you want, as a small test, swap bulbs from side to side then compare again.
But I think the current driver side bulb is defective.

I see that you have a 2014 SV, if I remember correctly, all SVs have HID systems, so unless you had halogen bulbs before that sorta/kinda/maybe masked the fact that the projectors were distorted, then the driver side bulb is defective.

Yeah car has stock HID bulbs, I just swapped the bulbs out. I emailed TRS and now I'm just waiting for a response. But thank you for your input.

No matter where you buy your bulbs unless you pay for a name brand like Phillips they all use the same junk stuff.

I didn't know that. TRS has such great reviews about their quality and customer service, I wouldn't think this is the regular product. I took it as a fluke incident and they are doing right by me. I'll keep everyone poste on the new bulb and how long they last and whatnot.
