Need help fast

Long story short..I pressed down on my E brake to test something out and did it a few times..I press down all the way to release and it works but for some reason seems like my rear brake is still on.When I put it in drive it goes but still feels like brakes are on.When I'm accelerating it vibrates in the back and brakes squeak a bit...Any advice..I put new pads about 6 months ago and no brake light on the dash..only when ebrake is engaged..I never had this issue before..Thanks

You need to adjust your rear brakes or cable if it is an option I did that on a Subaru years ago . Or spray your cable inside

Could be a seized rear caliper, get it checked fast or that rotor(s) will be shot

could be the caliper. Take a stick or something and give a push on the e-brake lever on the caliper. It might just be stuck and it will pop back out once you push on it. If thats it, just spray some WD-40 on the e-brake mechanism on the caliper to keep it lubricated.

e-brake on the 7th gen Maxima has nothing to do with calipers. Its a drum inside disk setup. There are brake shoes inside rear rotor.

Raise the rear of the car.
Make sure e-brake is not engaged.
Try to spin each rear tire.
Then take it from there.
To get to the e-brake shoes, you need to remove the wheel, caliper, caliper bracket and the rotor.

If you never used your e-brake before, your e-brake cable could have gotten stuck. You have to trace it to figure out
the problem. Each rear wheel will have a separate cable going to it.
good luck,
Max

yeah, I was gonna say, my 4th gen had the e-brake on caliper setup, but I don't know which gen switched over.
