Trying to figure out speaker sizes. Went to a audio store and they told me 6 1/2 front and rear and then 6x9 in the deck. Started to do my own research and it's 6x9 front and rear deck with 6 1/2 in the rear door. Hopefully someone can ask this newbie question. Also any recommendations? Was going with jbl cause they got great reviews for 2014 but let me ask the real experts. Anything will help thanks.

You research is correct:
6x9's fronts and deck
6.5's in the rear doors
three 1.5" tweeters up front for a total of 9 speakers

If you have the Bose system (you can tell by looking up under the rear deck for the metal amp with the Bose label on it), you simply cannot replace the speakers. The Bose amp runs all channels at 1ohm and also the crossover points to each channel with not be congruent with aftermarket speakers. You certainly won't burn out the amp running it at a higher ohm (most aftermarket speakers are 4ohm) but it won't sound good at all.

I can definitely help you with different options but the Bose system causes a ton of headaches for aftermarket systems.

 

Thank you very much for your time and response. I called a place earlier inquiring about the speakers and they said basically the same. They verified it when I gave them my vin number. Modifiedlife website says the tweeters are 3inch also. Tried to attach pic and it didn't let me.

 

This is a bit misleading, as you certainly wouldn't want to do a simple speaker swat, true. However, there are Line Output Converter's like the Audiocontrol Lc6i/8i or the JL Audio Clean Sweep that you can use to bypass this minor issue.

These units will accept the audio signal output from the factory amplifier, and allow you to run an RCA signal to the aftermarket amplifier. The user would run the speaker wire to the amplifier as they would normally.

 

Front speakers are 3". I have the Bose system, and the first thing I did was add an amp and a sub. I quickly grew tired of the dash speakers and replaced them with 3 1/2" coaxials from Infinity. These were 2 ohm speakers. The factory speakers measured at 2 ohms as well. I had no issues running the Infinity speakers with the Bose amp , they were actually a good improvement over the Bose speakers.

Fast forward a little bit....I took out the dash speakers & replaced them with a set of Hertz Mille ML 280 tweeters. I replaced the front 6x9 speakers with a set of Audison Voce AV 6.5 mids. Added another amp to power these speakers & tied it all together with an Audiocontrol DQ-61 processor. I tapped the front left & right full range signal before the amp, & sent it to the processor. Running my system faded all the way to the front , along with my aftermarket sub sounds way better than the full Bose setup.
