I have 2012 Maxima. Recently I am observing the following problem.

When the car is parked and I try to open the the door to get out, there is a very long beep coming. The beep will go If I lock all the doors or come out and lock the car. Does anyone encountered this situation or any idea about this.

 

I've gotten this a few times. Here's what I can remember.

If I turn off the car, but then put it into ACC mode to finish a song or something, then shut it off and open the door, I think it does that. So I close the door and reopen it and the beep goes away.

If you leave your lights on or just the parking lights (not auto headlamps).

Otherwise, perhaps you just need a quick visit to the dealership? Maybe you have a faulted sensor or wire...
