CVT replacement

How much does it cost to have the CVT replaced on a 2009 maxi?

Not sure if it needs replacing but it's not changing out appropriately and doesn't pull hills or go over a certain speed when going up a hill...started this today and I'm just preparing myself for the worst...it almost seems like it's stuck in manual

So you got the car new with Zero miles and never changed the CVT fluid to 130k miles?

Yeah that's some horrible maintainance on your part. Kinda wonder how long you run your oil or coolant.

None the less, maybe a fluid chabge will solve the problem.

Any reason as to why you didn't change the fluid?

I'd suggest getting the fluid changed at a service shop instead of the dealer but make sure they use nissan trans fluid. If that doesn't work, goto the dealer and pray they can talk Nissan into swapping it out under the warranty as your only 10k outside of the warranty. If not, you're screwed! Sorry dude

Doubt Nissan will help him under warranty. If you're even half a mile over your warranty mileage they no longer care.

It becomes all profit for them so more than likely they won't help him for free (warranty)
