Can anyone please tell me which color is the remote wire going or coming our of the Bose amp wires for a 2010 SV??? I searched and someone mentioned a "baby blue color" problem is... Both plugs have that wire...
Any help will be appreciated...

 

Looking at the wiring schematics will tell you which one is the correct wire. That's what I did when I added aftermarket gear.

Thanks man... I read most of the manual you sent me but I couldn't figure it out....

 

You have to find the specific stereo system that your car came with. For mine it was the Bose stereo with color screen with navigation. Then look at the manual to see which PIN number corresponds to the remote wire coming in from the head unit. Disconnect the plug from the amp so you can see which pin it is. Once you find the wire, tap into it to get the signal.

I used these posi tap connectors. They require no wire cutting & are easy to use in tight spaces.

Not to jack your thread but Im doing aftermarket speakers with an amp in my car but leaving the stock nav unit in. Anyone know how to retain factory bluetooth? Not changing the center channel speaker out if that matters.

 

Dude even if the Manual says this and that, it's extremely wise to have a Multimeter when doing anything of this. I know it seems a bit over kill but it's best not to burn something up that a $10 tool can help you with.. Good luck take pictures and post it when you find it so people like me can do this in the future

 

I changed out all my front speakers. I kept the center channel hooked up to the stock amp. I'm using a Vifa TG9-10-04 in the center location. The front speakers are been pushed by an aftermarket amp. I tapped into the signal coming from the HU's front channels into the factory amp. From there the signal goes into an Audiocontrol DQ-61 processor, then 6XS crossover, then to the amps. Bluetooth & navigation promps work fine.

I plan to add another amp & have the ability to use the EQ in the processor on the center channel. The signal for that will come after the Bose amp.

Installed some after market speakers and tweeters in the doors and am running them off of the stock amp for now (which sucks lol) until I get my amp rack done and doing some more wiring, deadening etc. Im pretty sure you answered this above but I wanna make sure.But the stock hu just sends a signal to the bose amp correct? It's not powered at all. I plan on tapping a four channel converter into it to run an after market amp.

 

My 2 cents, if your going to use a line out converter.. dont waste your money on a cheap one. Spend a bit more and the sound quality is better. I first had a cheap PAC, then later changed to the audiocontrol LC2i.. noticed a big difference. Plus the factory Bose system reduces the bass when you turn up the volume to protect the speakers from being blown. The LC2i can be set to compensate for that.

 

The remote wire from the HU turns the amplifier on.


I second a high quality LOC, such as the LC2i. I just installed one in my daughter Jetta.
