Hi All,

Just recently decided to look into purchasing only the bulbs for the 2011 Maxima SV. I was wondering if anyone has some advice on the type of bulb and what exactly do the 2011 Maxima SV comes with as far as the head lights go?

Is it a factory HID bulb or and incandescent H11 bulb? My car is an SV but it came with the crappy H11 non HID bulbs in it and I bought an HID kit and installed it myself. If it is already an factory HID then Grego214 answered your question.

 

Is there another way to find out which ones are in the car without removing the bulb?

 

There should be a ballast on the bottom of your light if you have OEM HID lights.

 

The HID bulbs cast a white light vs. the yellowish light of normal bulbs.
