New Maxima Owner - 1st Steps!

Just got a new-to-me 2014 Maxima S, and I'm loving the car! Didn't realize they could be so sporty! I'm really happy with the car.

That said, I'm thinking of doing a few upgrades and would like some input..
First off will probably be a new intake - I've been looking at both the R2C and the K&N Typhoo. Any firsthand experience with either? R2C is about $100 cheaper, but is the K&N a big upgrade or just a big name?
As far as exhaust, I'm currently looking at the Megan Racing system and I like the sound I've heard. Borla is probably a close second for me. Personal opinions or video links(although I've pretty much scoured youtube for anything I could find)?

Car came with halogens, do I need a full conversion kit for HIDs?

Probably covering the orange display with an Android tablet, any guides on this?

Thanks for the replies!

Skip the intake. It only adds noise, but doesn't have any improvement to HP.

Yeah the intake is only a noise maker. I would put a quality HID kit in it and a rear sway bar to make it not float like a boat anymore.
http://www.lightwerkz.net/ for your HID kit.
http://www.stillen.com/product/sway-...xima-6776.html for the rear sway bar.
Welcome aboard!!!

I did notice the float. It was pretty bad. Is it a difficult install? Thanks for the links!

RSB install is pretty straight forward. Instead of an intake use that money towards something else, like lowering springs.

Lowering springs would be something to think about. I would love a lower stance, but I'm not sure if those would be a great move considering my wife drives it half the week and she cracked the bumper on her last honda that sat a little too low.

I just had the windows tinted on my daughter's car a few months back. Car looks a lot better & made things more comfy for her as well. You don't realize how nice they are till you ride in a car without em.

I know. Had tint on my truck from the first day I got it. Plus the maxima is black with black interior. It needs tint so bad. Hopefully I can pick up a side job this weekend.
