Feel CVT disengage when coming to stop
Not sure if it has been like this since I purchased the car but recently have noticed that I can feel my tranny disengage every time I come to a complete stop, it is a not a smooth feeling. It is also not really bad so I have a feeling when I tell a dealership there gonna just say its all good. Sound familiar to anyone?
I also am one of the people who experienced the slight jerking/loss of power on the highway a few months back. Starting to think I could have a legit issue but could be me freakin a bit a guess.

I'm just as skeptical about dealerships as the next guy, but it's been about 3.5 years now that I've been doing business there (service, sales, etc) and they have yet to f**k up on me, so.. Do what you do, but just putting that out there for you. I've quoted different things between them and Balise like CVT fluid changes, etc and they've always been cheaper.
The front desk cats you'd most likely deal with are Victor and Stephanie. Vic is my mans pots & pans - just letting it do whut it do baby boo and Stephanie is nice too.
Lastly, just wanna say that I do not work there not do I have any friends/family or skin in the game regarding that dealership; it's just that for all the bad we hear about dealerships, I feel that you gotta do the right thing and spread the word when it comes to the good ones, too.
Just a heads-up. Good luck and keep your eye out for those potholes!!

Go to Anchor Nissan in North Smithfield and deal with the service manager Dan. They do the right thing by the customer, I'm telling you. I can give you examples if you'd like, from replacing mirror assemblies for free due to moisture in the side markers on my current 2012 SV and they replaced the tilt/telescopic steering wheel units (on separate occasions, mind you) for free as well on my previous 2009 SV.
Thanks for the reply, this is good to know, I have been going to tasca in east providence and they are so friggen annoying. I go on break at work to get an oil change and they come out multiple times with a list of things I should do and I get visibly frustrated, then they will roll out with a cabin filter thats probably not even mine. Ends up like an hour and a half for friggen oil change. So def. done with them.
Normal. My 2010 with 140,000+ miles has always done this. The CVT is unique in the fact that the torque converter locks up at 11mph (higher with rapid acceleration) and unlocks around the same speed. When you are coming to a stop, what you are feeling is the torque converter unlocking (disengaging). It might be worth checking into by taking to a dealership if you still have warranty left, but mine has done this since new. Nissan could stand to have made this a little bit smoother, but it's a small price to pay for an awesome transmission. You feel it more with abrupt stops.

Haha dude them potholes are no joke right now. ****ed up my lip in Prov this winter cuz the roads were so bad, good thing its just the lip though. For me, the Anchor Nissan spot should be a model for how dealerships should be run. They have never pulled that suggestive selling sh*t with me. I hate that. What they do at Anchor is give you a printout with an itemized list of their 50-point (or 100-point, I forgot) check-up and there's a green, yellow or red box for the service tech to check off for each item. I've followed up on it too to keep them honest as they will have the exact brake pad & rotor thickness written down for you on your service record and then you'll see at your next oil change how the numbers are a little less than the last time due to brake pad wear, etc etc.
Even if it's something as basic as an oil change, you get a follow-up call the next day from this lady Kym just to make sure everything went smoothly, no problems, etc etc and that you're satisfied. I've never been pressured to buy anything, they just kind of give you the facts and let you do what you will.
They're gonna be fixing the roads! Who would've thought?
