I can almost assure you, you will be removing that Injen intake when it get really hot out and your motor is sucking in all that toasty hot air.

Nicely done!

Car will feel a little bogged down with the intake, but if you like the sound, then you're good to go.

Don't tell me that man, I researched a bunch and everyone loves this intake! Does it mess the car up or something? Isn't the stock filter and box doing the same thing regardless?

The intake along with every intake on the market is not a closed system, there's nothing to protect the intake from the heat coming off the engine. I had the r2c on my car for awhile and loved the sound but did feel a loss of power in low end. I swapped it out, and sold the r2c. I thought of developing some type of closed system with the intake but I never have the time. Its your car so you do whatever you want as long as your happy that's all that matters. Even though heat is small issue with the intakes you did a good job with it along with your other mods, keep it up

I too have completed my first mod. AEM intake. It doesn't have a box but it does have a shield, along with an upgraded snorkel system. But my question is does anyone with this intake or any for that matter feel vibration thru the gas pedal at all? Does any one feel any rumbling other than the great sound it gives off?

Completely dissagree. I don't think there is much of an increase, but neither do I think there is a decrease. I have had my Takeda intake on for a year and loved it summer or winter. I have not noticed any change as the weather gets warmer. Yes, its pulling in warmer air but its pulling in more of it, until someone can prove otherwise I think its a wash. I am very OCD and if there was a change I would feel it.

I'm leaning towards the majority here. At least I believe its the majority. But there is at least a little difference with the stock box and not. I myself I have experimented with modifying the snorkel, and just removing it all together only to have put it all back on. I enjoyed the sound but the feeling of loosing that little bit of power ultimately made me go back.
