Subwoofers
Subwoofers
I had a nissan pathfinder a few years ago and a chevy tahoe, both had a bose system everytime I tried to put a subwoofer in them the amplifier would clip and shut off. I was wondering if anyone has added subs with a stock set up and if they are having this issue with their 7th gen?

Adding an aftermarket subwoofer & amp was the first audio modification I did to my car. My car came with the Bose system. It really rounded out the system as that was the thing that was lacking the most. As stated, make sure you get an amp with a remote controller to be able to adjust the sub's volume. Also, get an amp that accepts speaker level inputs or get a quality LOC. Audiocontrol makes the LC2i, which I've used in 2 installs so far with great results.
