Windshield Wiper Fluid Issue

Hello. I live in Cincinnati, OH and it's 17 degrees out right now. I have a '14 Max and the wipers will wipe but I'm not getting any spray. What is odd about it is it wouldn't spray yesterday for about half the day then later started spraying again. Earlier this morning it would spray but now it won't. Is it possible the fluid is freezing in the lines? I've had plenty of cars and I've never had this issue even in this kind of weather. It blows my mind that this would happen in this new of a car but I realize the design of windshield wiper fluid jets probably isn't too much different from vehicle to vehicle...at least by concept. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Regular wiper fluid does freeze in the lines. The more "premium" fluids have some type of de-icing capabilities. Their freezing point is lower..... What you are seeing is that the lines are thawing later in the day (engine heat, ambient temperatures) which is normal as well .... Prestone and CarX makes some ... I prefer Prestone during the winter months ......

there are two different formulations for wind shield washer fluid. One for summer and one for winter. You probably have summer formulation fluid and it freezes. I don't remember of top of my head what is the lowest temp for each.
The label on the bottle should indicate that. Suck out all the fluid and replace with winter formula.

Yeah....what the above poster said. You need to get some good winter fluid in there. Best thing to do is completely purge the summer fluid and then refill with winter. The winter fluid will be good down to -45C, so slightly below 0F for you folks south of the border.

I have a 2014 and have no issues with the sprayer freezing up. I usually switch over to the winter fluid some time in November as a precaution so by the time things get really cold I've ran a bottle through the system and gotten its freeze point down.
