2014 maxima making metal banging noise

Hey guys, my car is barely a year old since I took it from the dealership... I recently put new rims on the car . Everything has been fine. But now I am hearing a metal banging noise when I am driving slow or go over bumps it sound like when you knock two metal objects together. I can hear it coming from like the passenger side of the car. It's starting to get really annoying. What could it be. Will my warranty cover this or am I gonna have to go in my pocket to pay for this? I have been told it could be a motor mount or the struts .

Is it coming from the front or back? Mine was making s noise like you described from my back passenger and it was a loose caliper and would hit the rotor every bump. Then a not so loud noise after I fixed that and luckily for me was the Jack loose in the holder.

Honestly it sounds like it coming from back passenger

See if you can shake the caliper and see if it has any give and also make sure the Jack is held tight in the trunk. Then if none of those, I would start to think about taking it in to at least get diagnosed

Do you think my rims may have caused this problem? My tires are 245 45 19 I have been getting a rubbing sometime when I turn the wheel all the way to the right side but that only once in a while . Don't know if it rubbed on the spring or not my car not lowered tho. Have stock springs and plenty of clearance

If it didn't do it before I would suspect so but that's the only thing that's changed then maybe but that's one beautiful ride!

Problem sloved

Took the car to Nissan dealership. Spent about 30 minutes they couldn't figure it out. I had to find the problem on my own... My sensor in rear wheel broke off inside the rims and was causing the sound. Nissan tried to charge me $130 just to put the car on a lift and spin the wheels after I told them I heard it coming from the back because a mechanic was driving it and saying it's coming from the front. I could have figured this out on my own I wish I didn't take it to Nissan. I coulda gone to a tire shop and pay $25 to get it fixed. I told Nissan why are you charging me $130 when you did nothing to fix my car? They said diagnosis fee. After I said I found the problem you didn't . They said we will lower the charge to $60. What a rip off why are all car shops to greedy!!! I won't ever service my car with them again unless it's warranty issue .

ugh it pains me that people are willing to pay that much without fighting them for doing nothing. I took my car to a local garage here to have my suspension looked at because its rougher than I would like and thought maybe something was wrong and they test drove it and put it up on the rack and took the tires off and looked and checked to make sure everything was tight. Invoice was a whopping $23 after taxes. Glad you got it figured out though! and yeah the stealership is best to avoid unless absolutely necessary.
