Hydraulic Motor Mount?

I have a 2009 Max with 153k miles. Noticed a front end vibration and went to my local tire guy that does all my tires and balancing. They balanced and rotated for free. This time it didn't clear the vibration. Went back and they kept it for an hour and when I went back advised that i need the hydraulic motor mount replaced and this was the cause of the vibration.

Anyone ever have this replaced? Quoted me about $500 to fix but couldn't tell me this was 100% the issue.

So the dilemma is to start down the road of fix and keep trying or upgrade to 8th gen . Perhaps try dealer or another shop for second opinion?

Any advice is appreciated.

Steve

Go to another shop with a consult tool, they can typically target the mounts and have it activate and deactivate and this can determine if the mounts are shot. They are electronically controlled and if they are not moving when asked it can cause these problems.

And yes, the mounts typically are expensive, but depending on which mount it is, it may or may not be a task to change out.
