Exclamation Replacing my Wheel bearing and I guess axle now. Help!

I ran into an issue when replacing my wheel bearing, and no I have to replace my Dr side Axle too. Any input on how to do this? Does it just pop out? Does a ton of fluid leak out?

I have purchased a new axle, a new axle nut, the axle seal for the CVT and 2 quarts of CVT fluid.

Also when i searched the forums I found that you could remove the axle without removing the spindle. Is this true? they said just loosen the the struts bolts. What your input on the is?

Yes we tried. The threads were screwed up on the axle. Like someonw had dropped a rotor on them. We heated it and it seized up both direction with a 4 foot breaker. We then tried a bunch of different things. Long story short the nut isnt coming off unless we cut it and i expect damage to the axle so i figured id replace it anyways. I cant find anything for our Gen. And i dont know if the older gens are the same.

A few years ago I replace my axle and it was straight forward per youtube. I socked the main bolt down with PB Blast and the bolt came off slow and hard. Youtube was right on target and just the reverse when putting it back together was very easy, just took sometime. I remember marking lines on the strut assembly and was very close when getting my front-end alignment.

are the wheel bearings a common problem? I noticed a strange vibration when turning left. never noticed it before.

Wheel bearings were a common repair for me. I've had to replace a wheel bearing on all 4 sides for a total of 5 times. I do all good smooth highway driving so I don't know what the deal is. My last bearing was at 104,000 miles on a 10 Max.
