I have an 09 Maxima and I've always been happy with the XM Satellite radio. The reception has been fine; I lose it in certain spots in town which I understand. But more recently - last 6 months or so - it's been dropping more ..and right in an open area. I'm thinking maybe the antenna needs to be replaced. I had it at dealer the other day and they said it was test driven and Nevis that, of course. Just curious if anyone has run into issues after a number of years and replaced the antenna?

I have a 2010 SV with the same issue. Before 6 months ago, there were a couple spots around town I knew would cut out. Now it's doing it in more areas when I drive around. This is even in open sky areas with no trees or tall buildings. If I leave town and go on the Interstate it seems ok. I haven't looked at the hardware yet, but now I'm wondering if it's something with our radois and the XM service. I called XM but all they did was resend the activation signal which helped nothing...
