Bluetooth Control Module location

I did a search and could not find any relevant info...

I had some work done on the AC in my 2010 Maxima this summer and ever since then my bluetooth connection has not been working. I get no indication on the head unit display of the cellular signal strength, and when I press the handfree button on the steering wheel to initiate a call, I get the car telling me that the "Handsfree phone system not ready". I ran the head unit diagnostic routine and I got two errors to show:

Bluetooth error

I am having the mechanic who did the AC work look to see if he might have unplugged something, but he was pretty adamant that he did not. Does anyone here know where the bluetooth control module is located in the 2010 Maxima? I can find the part online but have yet to find where in the car I need to look to find it. I would like to see for myself that it is plugged in and/or possibly buy a replacement module and swap it out...if I can find it that is.

Thanks for your help.

You should be able to find it’s location in the FSM:

My Max has a color screen and Bose, but no navigation. I wonder if it's in a different place than what you listed above?

Thank you LtLeary. I will take a look this weekend to see if I can find anything obvious like an unplugged wire.

Were you able to fix the issue?

Hi Poke,

I am having the same Bluetooth problem. I was just wondering what the outcome was? Are you still having an issue? Were you able to get it resolved; if so, how? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Daamon. Yes, I'm still having the issue. My bluetooth control unit is located in the trunk matching the second picture that LtLeary posted. Other than locating it I have done nothing with it other than search Ebay a few times for a replacement. I gave the car to my daughter and meant to get it replaced at some point but just haven't gotten around to it.

If I get a replacement and it works, I will update the thread and let you know. Can you do the same if you get to it before me?

Poke, Thank you for the quick response. I may go the replacement route as well & will definitely update the thread accordingly.
