Rpm going low

Sometimes on my maxima my rpm would dip 600 down and feels like it wants to stall. Why would it do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Year, mileage, maintenance history, idle or driving, CEL?
Many missing info.
Check your air filter, and MAF may need cleaning, or vaccum leak (to list common causes).

2009 185000 maintenance is good since I had it. I've gotten a p0171, and p0174. When I was cleaning the maf, I notice that there's a line or vacuum missing from the bottom of the rubber hose that connects to the throttle body. Do u know what the other side connects too?

The only lines going to the "throttle body" are water lines. I am guessing your issues occur more in cold weather? Looks like some one blocked those off somehow.

On the bottom of the rubber that connects the air filter box to the throttle body there's a hole underneath that something connects too

Ah, the sound generator! If the sound generator fell off, you need to block this off. A few folks on this forum have left insructions and even size of pvc caps! Thia being open will afdect your idle and maf readings.

So that's what it is. What does the other side connect to?

Well the sound generatot looks like a black plastic pipe. It has a diaphram that vibrates under high vacuum. So the 1.5" hole connects to that and nothing at the other end. Under low vacuum conditions like idle, it is closed off.

if i am understanding youe question that is. Pictures help alot.

I'm sorry I connected it back to the bottom of the rubber piece. At the bottom of the rubber piece it was a clamp to tighten it down. It's a hard black plastic L shape piece

Yep, that is the sound generator. Nothing else connects to it.
