Engine Knock

For those who may have experienced the same, see the below thread. I posted in the 5th gen section because my car is an 03, but with a 2014 motor, however the issue has existed and continues to exist since the conception of the VQ35 platform.

I guess I got confused with the solution. Was the solution to run your 14 motor using 93 instead of 87 (I believe 09s were the only Premium Required engines) or using a product? (or did you find that millennial with a keyboard to change the timing or knock sensors!) I haven't experienced this myself yet but I have always run with 91 or better.

I have only run 93 in this motor. The VP Octanium increased the octane to 100 or so, eliminating the pre-ignition.

Some of the fuel we get here in SC is more salad oil than high octane.
