Question Transmission leakage

Hi everyone! I'm looking for someone to help me identify the leakage source in my car (2014 3.5 Maxima, 40k km mileage).

In the morning, I noticed a yellow oil spill under the front. When I started the engine, I heard a whistling noise that disappeared in a couple minutes. When I tried to drive, it seemed like the transmission was slipping and it was difficult for the car to move.

Did anyone have the same issue with the variator in the past? Could it be a crack in the radiator or a pipe? In the picture, you can see a leakage place where dense yellow oil is coming out but I am not sure whether this is the only leakage place (that area was fully splashed with the oil).

There was no any mechanical damage. Apparently, the outside temperature might be the reason (we've had a fall from -15 down to -30 this month very often, although the car is parked in the garage at night)

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience!

Sure looks like the rubber hose between the CVT transmission cooler and the CVT (Although it may be going to the CVT filter that is located behind the splash shield on the driver's side front wheel well) Should be a relatively easy fix. Replace the hose and start adding half a liter of Genuine Nissan NS2 at a time. Remember to check while the transmission is warmed up although with it being hard to move, my guess is that you are at least 1 qt down. If you haven't done a drain and fill with the CVT filter replacement yet, now is a great time.

+1 on what LtLeary said, that hose is easy to replace. The picture looks like something is/has rubbed against it, make sure to check that out as well or you may be doing this repair again in a year or so.

Thank you guys for your responses. The issue was indeed in the damaged hose which I replaced on a piece of a 8 mm oil-proof one. Not sure that it has a sufficient temperature resistance though, so will be looking for a better hose.

If anyone would need a part number for the OEM hoses: 21633-ZX50A, 21632-JA100

After the CVT service procedure the computer showed code P0826. The error was cleared and nothing else appeared so far.
