Key Fob Beeping

i have a ‘10 Maxima SV. when i open my car door while the car is off, a rapid beeping starts and on the screen it shows / wants to me remove the key from the slot, when the key isn’t even in the slot. the beeping only stops when i start the car. it starts when i turn the car off and stop when i shut the door. my lights are on auto so i know the beeping isn’t because of the lights. any advice?

Try a battery disconnect for 30 minutes by disconnecting the negative terminal of the car battery. This will reset the cars computers and might solve your problem. Does this problem arise when you use the other key fob? You might also try replacing the battery in the fobs.
