Need help !!

I have a 2009 Nissan Maxima 3.5s & the car won’t start like it’s not getting no power at all, I have changed the battery but wasn’t that. Let car sit overnight came out in the morning to this. All I see is the yellow key fob symbol when I try to start it . Car don’t crank or nothing I was literally just driving it and this happen. I check ignition fuse & battery was good. I even changed my key fob battery and still no lluck, the key fob don’t even want to unlock the door or lock so I’m just confused. Read it could possibly be the steering column actuator ? Is that true ?

Yes it could certainly be the steering column lock actuator. Nissan issued recalls for this years ago. Many have had success tapping the lock mecanism repeatedly until it would crank. After starting, remove the fuse in the pdm and it should be golden forever more.

I just was looking at the fuses everything seemed ok took the fuse out but that didn’t work just showed me a steering wheel on the lower dash tried to start it didn’t work. My key fob doesn’t even work nomore like it’s not reading to the car or something. I got to manually unlock the door and when I put the key in the key slot , on the dash it telling to me to remove it but when I leave it or remove it car still won’t start or no dash lights working, radio not working, only thing is the inside light works fine I swap battery so I know that ain’t the issue. What I also see if that the high beam light is flashing on and off when I first get in car it’s weird

Also to mention when I try to use my key fob in the car like I said it doesn’t do anything but I notice when I click the lock button twice the hazard light blinks quickly then stop. Any ideas

From your posts it looks like you are not following the instructions from LtLeary. Put the fuse back in and then tap on the lock actuator until it is free and the car starts, then pull the fuse and the steering lock is disabled. This was a common problem with this model year including mine and pulling the fuse is the solution.

I found the problem was because the battery fuse blew out so I wasn’t getting. I commutation at all even to my key fob. From visual inspection and using my multi meter I was able to find that the fuse on the battery terminal was bad and it look like the plastic or something was melt on it. Going tomorrow to pick up piece so hopefully it solves my starting issue at least
