So... long time follower, 1st time in years to post...

Just picked up a 2011 maxima sv for a cheap daily. 270k+ on it. Trans replaced recently. Got on the cheap because of a no start condition. Cranks healthy with a battery charger on it. You hear the whirring of 5 cyl and what sounds like a like of compression on the 6th cyl. Wont begin to start otherwise.

New battery as of 9/23 and I bought this 3/30/24. Battery is dead without a jumper. Could it be a junk battery? I hear the fuel pump turn on when jumped but there is no fuel pressure at the relief valve under the engine.

I haven't dug into much more as of yet since i bought this just yesterday, just want people to throw out ideas. The past seller brought me a dealer code sheet of pcm faults a mile long. Was thinking, low voltage due to power drains, bad fuel pump/clogged/etc. Fuel level shows almost 1/2 tank.

Any common issues related to this? Original key. Only 1 key. Cranks over several cycles healthy but u hear the whirr of the 5 dead cyl and a little compression on the 6th evenly when you hit the push button. Have not tried a new battery or searched for power drains or looked for any fuel pressure before the underhood yet. Just looking to see if anyone else has had similar issues.
