what are your thoughts ?
Does the $399 include your state taxes or is that on top of?
Sounds like the deals are getting somewhat better. Are there any
accessories included?
I normally don't like to put down any $ other than 1st payment.

Im not a lease expert but that looks like a real nice deal on a fully loaded platinum with all those extras...the tires on my 7th gen were a mess, so that protection is nice to have- and the 3 years service also.

Yes $399 includes state taxes as well as tire & wheel protection. Came with regular accessories that comes with platinum, but i am negotiating with my dealer to get me all weather mats.

I honestly think deals are getting better, comparing to deals that were out 3 months back (put down $3000 & lease was $450 & over) & normally i negotiate for 2 years of service, but this time i got 3 years of service which is almost equal to 1 month payment.

Auto Trader

The prices on autotrader are getting better. From a good dealer the Platinum is
being sold for $34,799 from a MSRP of $41,095.

You can either take the ad to your dealer to match or have it shipped to you.

sticker/MSRP/ same thing.
Dealer can throw on accessories, after market rims, tint, pin striping,
vin etching and who knows what else, which would in turn add to MSRP.

Whenever I price out on the Nissan site, I don't see that they include freight or shipping charge. The dealers site do include this. Maybe that's why you see a different number?

He's right, the Nissan website doesn't include the $850 destination charge that you'll see on the sticker.

I just paid $385 a month including tax for 3 year / 36k miles lease with $750 down in fees. It is a black SV with MSRP of $35,625. I also got top dollar trade for my 2013 SHO at $23,750. Also, got the 3 years of free maintenance for the preorder promotion.

($385 x 36) + $750 + $23,625 = $38,235. Plus you have to give it back in 3 years. Maybe I don't understand how leases work.

I am not sure where you came up with the $23,625 included in your equation.

No, I walked away with a check for $8K. They gave me about $2K more than competitors, so I made the deal.

Not to ruin your day, but I got my 2016 Maxima Platinum ($43+K) for $399 a month with ZERO out of pocket, ZERO down, nada.. Fully loaded 110% (the extra 10% was for the exterior ground lighting I got the dealer to throw in at the final hour).

Awesome Deal! How many times did you go back n' forth with the desk Mgr to get that deal? Care to share the numbers? Money factor, Residual etc.

I have a deal set up for a Platinum Gun Metallic/Cashmere leather with splash guards, 18" aluminum alloy wheels, and mats for $36,770 before taxes, tag and title. Any opinions on whether this is a good deal or not?

True story: I've been leasing from this one dealership since 2007 and the deal was arranged over a phone call as I trust what they say on the phone.

Make a long story short; I got there, the deal involved them paying me for the last month of my lease via a check to be given to me AT SIGNING, and $435 a month with ZERO out of pocket, zero down, and taxes and all included.

When I got there (50 minutes away), they said they'd mail the check. It was a matter of principle that pissed me off as I was so explicit on the phone & said "Don't tell me when I get there that the guy who signs the checks isn't in & you'd mail it to me (bad experience with that excuse on my last lease; had to chase them for 8 months for the money)."

After going at it back & forth, with me trying to negotiate that mistake they made into me getting 3 years of free oil changes, somehow the sales manager's manager caught wind of what I was 'finagling' and just said "the hell with it, we're not selling you a car for $435". Maybe it was a tactic that worked on other people in the past, but I don't play those games and just told him where they could stick it, and that the last 8 years & three Nissans I bought from them which built whatever loyalty and credibility that it did just got flushed down the toilet.

Needless to say I walked out on the deal.

The next day, I went to the next closest dealer and told them the story, they told me they'd give me the exact same car (minus the exterior ground lighting, which I got them to throw in after market anyways), for $399. They wanted the first month upfront; I said nothing upfront; we agreed to raise it to $410 a month to compensate for the zero out of pocket.

Note: even though in the attached shot of my lease it says $700 down, I paid nothing down. That $700 was the Nissan incentive that I signed over to them. Bottom line as I said earlier; $410 with taxes; ZERO down, $42K car + exterior ground lighting kit added at the time of deal + tire rim upgraded to the nicest rims (black alloy).

ALSO note, the Maxima Platinum shown attached was from the first dealer, and the one I went with is identical except the wheels were upgraded with the black titanium alloy rims; which I'll try and post tomorrow as an edit.

Did the other dealer pay your last lease payment as well? None the less, great deal. I'm surprised to see Nissan already has incentives for this car. I have 7 more payments on my current lease, so I have to wait a bit for my Max. At least I know when my time comes, I should be able to land a great sign n drive lease. Enjoy the new ride and post some pictures.

The first dealer I mentioned offered to reimburse HALF of my last month of my lease (which in their fairness was right, considering I only had 2-3 weeks left), which I had already paid for. But considering that the second dealer offered a lease price of $25 less a month, I didn't want to even try to press my luck.

Oh yes, and if all of this wasn't enough:

I recently got a bill from Nissan Finance for 'damages on returned 2012 Maxima' totaling $738, which was reduced by the $500 they allow.
Not only was it complete horse manure, I got the dealer I bought my '16 from to call the head of Nissan Finance Client Services (whom he said he had a 'fling' with, whatever that means, I'll take it), and walla, now my Nissan Finance account online for my returned 2012 says $0.00.

BOTTOM LINE: This second dealer really stepped up to the plate, and showed me that they want my loyalty by selling me a car for next to no profit. I will return with my future business and would gladly refer them to anyone in Northern NJ interested (Private Message me; I'll share their info with you as I don't want to be sleezy by posting it here and make it seem like I work for them, which I promise, I don't).

I thought there is only option for purchase.

Excited to be a new member of this forum! I picked up a Pearl White SR for $34,491 with a $500 cash back from the dealership. I paid out the door about $39K and some change. I had them send me a check for the $500. Love my new ride!

Thanks! Only 1 of 3 local dealers quoted OTD pricing before discussing trade-in. Fred Anderson Nissan of Raleigh was a pleasure to work with. Easiest negotiations of all my car buying experiences.

I was quoted 38k for an SL back in June- now the SL is 34k with the rebate same dealer and a better % rate. Sure seems like I was correct- I told the dealer I said you know these cars will be discounted heavily within a year and he said he didnt think so.

Just leased 2016 platinum storm blue with the cashmere interior. MSRP was $41,095 and had to work with two dealers to get one of them to agree to $37,000 selling price before taxes and fees. Amazing car, so much power compared my 2013 Altima 2.5 SL that I turned in.

It's crazy what discounts you can get in the US. No doubt the average discount here in Canada is $50.

Platinum Maxima

Currently negotiating a deal on Maxima Platinum. MSRP is $41,300. Dealer is offering me $480 out the door with tax, title, fees, $0 down, on 3 year lease. They are also paying off 3 months on my current remaining lease which I am getting a check from them for $1,350 to pay it off and I KEEP my old lease also for the remainder 3 months. Also getting 3 years of maintainence included.

Btw, My current lease is a Honda and I contacted Honda leasing and they are ok with me termianting my lease 3 months early without penalty. So I'm technically pocketing the $1,350 Nissan will pay me.

Overall, would you guys think it's a fair deal?
