Pearl White, Charcoal Interior Platinum with splash guards, floor mats, illuminated kick plates, external ground lighting, interior lighting package. Also includes 2 years tire/wheel protection automatically in case anything gets scratched or damaged.

MSRP is 42330
Invoice is 39518
Their offer puts it at 37317. After TTL/other charges it comes out to 39650 OTD.
I got a sale price of $38619 for pretty much the exact same build. See post #227. Was your sale price after all rebates? I had $1500 in rebates which brought it down to $37119 if included before calculating taxes. Since sales tax is different in every state it's hard to compare OTD pricing. Sales tax in WA is 9.8%.
I'm sure u will love it. Getting mine tinted as I type.

Good info. It appears everyone enjoys this car. Which models include the moon roofs and which model will allow you to get a payment of $400 a month?

Whenever I have looked into this, the dealer has been able to give me a better deal than what the Costco offer would have been.

Interesting - I thought Costco was equivalent to TrueCar / AAA/ Edmunds, all the other programs. I initially tried to use the VPP (Nissan Friends and Family program) that my employers have, and their percent off MSRP isn't competitive even with the published offers.

I found it most useful to mail dealerships in my area - I found that the internet pricing is usually a better offer since it's not tied to a single salesperson and becuase they assume you're emailing everyone in the area.

sales@dealership usually works - just make sure you check your junk folder for the actual reply.

Lease? I debated leasing...trading my 09 in as a down payment and taking a really low payment. Never leased and like to own- but a nice low payment for 3 years sounds good too.

No, I purchased. Don't like the mileage restrictions of a lease as I drive a lot (have 10,500 miles in 8 months).

I got a Pearl White ext/Charcoal interior, no-options (well, floor mats) SR for $35,833 all said and done. This is just outside Houston, TX. It was well under $1000 less than any other dealer in the greater Houston area was willing to go.

Here's the quote they gave (no change throughout the process.) The interest on the loan adds a bit more to the total cost once all paid off, but I can pay it all off whenever I want as the interest is no pre-computed.
Note that I declined the pin stripe, nitrogen filled tires, etc, etc that they were offering.

That's impressive. Several thousand dollars less than my SR was last July, and at the time mine was a very good deal. I'm in the DFW area. It pays to wait, I guess.

FYI, anyone looking to lease now, there's $1650 Leasing Bonus Cash available from 2/2/2016-2/29/2016. That $1650 should be applied after you negotiate your best purchase price, don't let them fool you there.

35k after taxes? Sounds like an amazing deal. I paid 34k before taxes on the base SR, and I believe the SV base was 33K, which would be >35k, and you got all the extra struff.

Got a SL, all the accessories I wanted plus the upgraded 18" wheels. Got all 3 LED lighting package accessories. Had 2 payments remaining on a leased 2013 VW CC ($300 a month), 2000 miles in over mileage fees ($400), & a $350 "disposition" fee from VW that they charge if you don't continue business w them. Nissan covered it all as well as transported the car back to VW for me.
When all was said & done, I had to put down $1,000 & got $375 a month lease for 36 months/36k miles. For a $40+k car, at $375 a month...I can't complain. Only downside is I gotta replace these halogen bulbs, I need LEDS in my life.

Sounds like a solid deal. Enjoy the ride. Can't wait to see the deals available in June.

I was introduced to the 2016 Maxima today. I like it enough to sit and let the sales people try to work me over. By the end they came to OTD $33770.00 and now Im shopping around. I didnt get down to the details since I was about to drive away in my car before they came down from some 39k BS price.

The list price was 29,600 after invoice and dealer addons. Phoenix, Az is not know for having the best sales tax either.

Trying to Purchase my New 8th Gen Max

This would be my 4th Maxima Purchase back to back...
I love everything that comes with the new Maxima, except that the SR does not come with Sunroof as my 2009 version...

Ok got it, so I am upgrading to the Platinum Version...
Here is where the problem comes into play...

I want these accessories to be on the car day one:
1) 18" Alloy Wheels (the new rim design)
2) Interior Accent lighting
3) Kick guard witht he Maxima Logo lighting
4) Exterior Ground lighting
5) Sport Spoiler that you see on the SR Version (NOT THE PREMIUM SPOILER)
6) Tinted Windows (legal, they are throwing this in for free)

March is the Closing of 4 QT fiscal year in Japan and steep discounts are being given to end the QT strong...

When it is all said and done, They can not get this car to me with out one or two of the accessories that I Am requesting... At the same time I Am not sure if I want to negotiate for a Steeper price drop or do not budge and wait for the 2017 models and put in for a built version of this vehicle from the factory....
MSRP: 43K
So far the Deal stands at: 35k before tax, tags, title, blah blah blah...

any thoughts ?

Is the problem that they don't have your exact build? Would you be opposed to having the dealer install the accessories that aren't currently on the vehicle? I'm also not sure if these accessories are dealer installed or shipped as is.

The lighting accessories have to be factory installed...
I asked them about the installation after purchase...

I also asked them, "Why have a build your vehicle set up and tell me that there are 42 cars that fit my Build and yet..... you claim that you can not find my build within 50 Miles of me? "

The wheels they can do..
the Spoiler they will make happen, and the Tint is already on the vehicle..

Just comes down to the lighting...

I thought this was going to be a pretty easy process but just getting stuck on specifics at this point for a large purchase...

From past experience, don't bother showing Truecar price. Go straight there, tell them you're looking for a car for this price. If they can't beat it, then move on. Someone WILL contact you, just be patient. Go towards the end of the month. End of March might be a good time as this 1st quarter is closing. When I was shopping, the sales person ALWAYS had a rebuttal when I mentioned truecar. What I did was I walked in with my own financing options already established. So i know APR already walking in, and my monthly payments would have been with the maximum price I would have been willing to pay. I literally walked in said I'm paying cash, max I can pay is so and so, and he called the manager, pulled the invoice, and they said sign here. This was towards the end of the business day on the last day of the month.
