That seems really high. I got 1.99 for 60 through Wells Fargo dealer services. You should shop and compare rates vs your monthly payment.

NMAC is offering 1.9 for 60, 72 changes things sometimes that why I'm asking. Nissan payment calc is showing 3.75% when I change it to 72 months.

Look into www.penfed.org. This is a great credit union with good auto rates. 2.74% for 72 months.

How can you have an opinion on the rate when you know nothing about the person's credit etc?

I won't have it 72, but I like the lowest rate and the lowest payment per month on the paperwork.

NMAC does not have any prepay penalty. 72 months gives you an opportunity to pay less that month or pay off sooner, really it is a much more flexible option. The problem is people are more inclined to pay the minimum and that is when 72 months of interest adds up.

I took the 1.9% X 60, it wasn't a drastic change in payment from the 72 months and I would pay less in interest.

What you pay in interest depends on how long you take to pay it off, entirely in your control. Now the rate is fixed depending on the program.

Yeah, I checked the site. As the card says, it's only select models. The 2016 Maxima is not one of them, unfortunately.

Dealer trying to hook, line and sink you on a model that only offer that Black Friday deal, I got the same thing in the mail I knew it's not worth my trip to the dealer, since I did read the fine print. I want to the New Maxima but it was not in my budget and timing. I could easily get an Infiniti Q50 for almost the same amount as a top of the line maxima. that's why I could not justify the price of a Maxima with the options I could build into it.

Had approval for 2.65 through a credit union for 72 months, but went with 2.99 through NMAC to get the $1000 rebate. Plan on paying off early too so it will be a wash.

Was that 2.81 and 2.99 for 72 easy to get or did you have to haggle with the dealer?

He started off by telling me Nissan didn't offer anything less than 3.99....lol. I just called his bull**** and said I would go to another dealer if he couldn't give me at least one point less to be remotely competitive.
