The services are certainly there on the Platinum -- I'm only talking about the apps -- or the lack of apps.

I agree 100%, mine worked and I dont benefit much. Please note that Pandora, IHeart, whatever else ARE available via your phone's bluetooth connection. you dont have to use Connect services to access these apps, just designate bluetooth as your source and play whatever you want through you phone. From what I am reading here, that might not be possible with an iPhone, but using Android it definitely is. hope this helps!

As bad as my buying experience was, the one thing the salesman did right was downplay the Nissan connect. In the time it takes to get it started you could just use your phone to search. I am a developer and willing to " hack" in to the unit and maybe try to add some functions but I'm waiting to see what happens with Apple CarPlay

If Nissan finally decides to support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in new vehicles, I'm pretty sure it won't be backward compatible. The only evidence I have is that Nissan does not seem to support end user software updates on their entertainment units, and they still haven't bothered porting new applications to Maxima or Murano in a year. That said, if it happens, I'd be delighted.

Hello,

I would agree that if it is promised, it should work as described. I have not paid for the subscription. We get it free for the 1st 6 months. I did get everything to work but chose not to pay the monthly fee to extend the service which was way too high, especially when you can do it thru your phone. I might add I am using a Windows 635 phone which has worked for all text functions as well.
