Sunroof problems
Hey out there,
Just curious of how many of you have had the wind deflector or track malfunction on your car? We had our wind deflector crack a month ago, they got the parts in and three days in the shop and then they tell us that it might be a month cause they have to take the sunroof out and pano roof to get it all fixed up. Man they sure make these new vehicles hard to work on

Richard is correct. If they have the parts, and put a well-trained mechanic on the task full time, we couldn't be talking more than a day or two. Part of the holdup may be that they do not have a mechanic who has done this job before, and he will be learning on the job. But it may be just as likely that, as Richard said, they are using this task to occupy techs who are not currently busy on other jobs. Or maybe they were not totally truthful regarding possession of all necessary parts. We can never be sure what is going on at the dealer unless we have a good connection on the inside there.

They don't have all the right parts, they had the new track and wind deflector, than after they tore the whole car apart they realized that they needed to take sunroof and pano off, and it is on back order to get a new pano.
