I plan to purchase a Maxima Platinum at the end of the month. Has anyone purchased the Nissan extended protection plan? If so, could you share the details, level, years, miles, and price?

I purchased an extended 7 yr., 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty for $1,307.00. However, I do have a $100 deductible once the factory 3 yr., 36,000 mile warranty expires.


The dealer offered me a 10 yr., 150,000 mile powertrain warranty at no extra charge.

 

Did you buy the extended from the dealer for 1300, or did you get it free?
Does it cover everything, or just major?

I purchased the extended warranty from the dealer and it covers everything, bumper to bumper.

 

Thanks for the info! I was offered the same 7/100 for over $2k. I wonder how I could get it for your price. They didn't seem to want to negotiate at all, in fact, when I wasn't interested in paying the 2100, he moved on. No counter.

 

This is probably out of the ordinary. I was originally offered a price of $2400 for the exact same 7 year 100k miles "gold" package. Obviously I told the guy he was out of his ****in mind. After 3 counter offers, I finally accepted around $1,400. You would probably get a different experience going to another dealer or dealing with a different finance person than who you got.
