Collision warning system randomly activating?

Does anyone else have a problem with the collision warning system beeping randomly? It happens to me at least once a week, and is usually when I am driving through a green traffic light. There are no cars around but it seems to think I am about to rear end someone. Anyone else have this issue? I can't replicate it consistently.

My front R parking sensor has been messed up for a week now. Nissan will be looking into it.

My sonar sensors starting going off driving home one day, but I realized it was because snow was accumulating on the front. Shortly after a message popped up saying the system was being shut off. After clearing the snow/ice off it was fine.
I wonder if there is some sort of Radar or sensor at the traffic light your going thru that setting it off?

Snow or a heavy rain seem to set mine off. Just like 16sjmax said, clear it off and good to go! I'm wondering if there's something tripping yours in the intersection too.

Mine went off too as I was approaching a traffic light intersection on green. There was a car to my right in the intersection and he was slowly pulling into my lane (as many do when they are trying to get a jump during a right hand turn into your lane of travel). It was also extremely cold out then but no accumulated snow on the car. hasn't done it since that time

Does the car Beep 3 times when this happens?

Yes. I just realized that it had happened three times so far in one particular intersection. I'm wondering what is triggering it. This happens in clear weather, no issues with rain or snow when it goes off randomly.

Mine has gone off when people in front of me slow to turn and I have already started to move into the lane next to me to pass them. I would say at an extraordinary distance but the car doesn't seem to think so. Any possibility that's the case?

That's definitely not the case here....not a single car in sight anywhere

If there are no cars or people at or very near that intersection, and the road is straight, then it seems there is either a telephone pole/signpost/etc very near the path toward which you are headed, or there is something electronically at that intersection which sets your system off.

Mine beeps me as I enter or leave my garage, when I back up near the neighbor's mailbox, when a car coming from a side street near my route has not yet stopped and the system does not know if it will stop, when I am closing on a car just ahead of me which is slowing to turn, when I am easing back in reverse and someone walks across behind my car, when I am inching forward at an intersection and and someone walks in front of my car, when I am reversing out my driveway toward the street and a car happens by, and when I get near anything while parking anywhere.

I understand all these situations, and am happy that I have that extra assistance in avoiding trouble. But I would not like to be getting beeps for reasons I did not understand.

How about the unattended 4 legged friends that pass by in front or back unnoticed, or the low flying bird that darts across the road unseen. I'll bet an empty wind driven plastic grocery bag could set it off if close enough.

Mine does that often as well usually around traffic lights when I am zipping through them... I think mine beeps maybe because there is a hump at the intersection and when I am approaching it a speed it sees that hump as an obstruction and it beeps 3x.
