I've de-badged all my vehicles. I know the letters are just stuck on. What i'm wondering is if the rear burger is only tape or has pins like the 370z burger?

 

Just tape on all the rear emblems.

What did you do to the front emblem?.....did you just tape it off and matte black paint it?

I de-badged mine last night on rear...love the clean look. Wondering on the front though.

Plasti-dipped it. Tape off the surrounding grill so you don't get paint/plastidip in your grill or your radiator.

 

That plasti looks super on the front and rear!

yes, took me longer to try to do my traditional cover and prep than to paint and peel off the rest. The only thing to be careful is with the headlights/tail lights.... you never know how the plastic will react if any type of chemical gets in contact with them. Any overspray from Plastidip just wipes off with a micro fiber cloth on the paint. I had some overspray on my tail lights, but nothing happened. I also placed cardboard behind the grill just in case of any possible spray getting behind my grill. Spray very thick, don't think like spray painting using paint with fine coats. The heavier is better, since it will make it smoother... just don't go so heavy as to get a run in the dip. You also want to go heavy when overlapping the dip. It makes it a lot easier to peel off nicely. If it's too thin, you have to keep trying to grab small pieces. So thicker on the surround of the piece makes it a lot easier.

 

Watch a few videos on how to do it before you actually do it. You should put down 4-5 coats of it. Anything less than that would probably peel off. If you want a glossy look to it use Glossifier. About 3-4 coats, all depending on how glossy you want it.

 

I'm thinking about doing the rear this weekend, but I plan on taking that piece off the car while I spray it.
