not sure if anyone would know I just picked up a Maxima SL and have a set of Vossens id love to throw on it. The only issue is its a staggered set up and the front are 20x9 and rear 20x10.5 no sure if the back would be an issue due to the width. Anyone have any insight?

 

As long as your bolt pattern is 5x114.3 you should be fine. Idk know what your offset is. 8th gen rear is not as wide as 7th gen so you might have to run a little camber so fender doesn't rub the top of tire if you have poke. That is not knowing your offset of course.

In the front rims are 20x9 tires are 235/35 and in rear is 20x10.5 tires are 275/30

For instance if you ran a 10.5 et25 with a 275/30 tire I'd say no. If the et was 40 I'd say probably

 

Yea you deff want to be in the et +38 to +43 range. 275 will be too wide for the 8th gen unless you want your camber in the -2 to -3 range. Depending on your driving you might be switching out tires as fast as 6 months in the rear. Again your staggered and can't rotate ttires traditionally.

 

Sorry guys for the lack of knowledge and thanks for responses so far I'm not sure what the offset is I just looked at the paperwork from the purchase and doesn't have any info on the I'm currently running them on a Lexus is350

 

If you look on the inside of the rim it will be stamped on the rim... i.e. ET +38 for example. Good thing is that the 350 has the same bolt pattern as the Max. So that being said you offset might/should be within tolerance. Things are looking up for you. You have pix of the 350?

 

 

Is that currently a 275 on that rim?

 

I don't think those are 275s as there's quite a bit of tire stretching. But regardless, you may have to go the route of a narrower tire to prevent any rubbing. Some have 10.5 inch rear rims, but it's pushing it. The biggest factor would be the actual offset of the rim.

 

I just searched, they have 2 offsets available for the rears.
20x10.5 et25 - the wheel will be pushed out 1.6" from stock
20x10.5 et45 - the wheel will be pushed out 0.8" from stock

You're clear in the suspension side, but the fender side may give you problems if lowered or have passengers. Overall diameter is close to stock.

Ya hopefully you have the et45 so it will be flush or close to flush with the fender

 

I got 20x9 35mm 245/35/20 offset fronts , 20x10.5 45mm 255/35/20 offset rears. It rubbed up front on inner fender liner. Rears rubbed too . had to roll fender lips on back. and modify inner fender liners up front.

 

I am running 20x10 with 45 offset all around with 255/35/20 tires on stock height absolutely no rubbing or anything. The tire and rim was a little passed fender in front and rear also. On BC coilovers now and no rubbing in the front but will have to roll rear fenders now.

 

This is what I got from the front rim

 

Is that the rear wheel (20x10.5)? If that is the case, the wheel will come out 1.5 inches towards the curb side.

 

If you also plan to use these wheels, you're going to need hub centric rings (73.1-66.1). These wheels can work, but you will definitely need to get a thin tire to stick under your fender, but will have to be stretched. Definitely need to roll fenders, and probably need more fender work if you plan to drop the vehicle.

 

Sorry, didn't read that it was the front...

That means the front will stick out 0.7" in the front (that would sit flush with the front fender).

As for the rear, that may have a different offset. Can you take a picture of the rear wheel?

The rears will stick out by 1.1 inches. You should be fine just have to get a 255/35 tire and it will show a little stretch but a couple of people have a similar setup with their wheels. You will need to roll fenders and trim the tab where you attach the rear bumper

 

Sounds good any chance you know of any rim shops that could fix curb damage and powdercoat?
