What Platinum extras does the midnight edition come with? Per Nissan's website all they show it having extra are the black rims, rear diffuser and black spoiler. The package is like $1200 more than a regular SR.

The SR Midnight is supposed to have black wheels. Your picture does not show black wheels.

Once the black rims are on, you will only be a few black vinyl applications from being military level stealth.

To bad that they didn't trim it out like the 3rd and 4th gen SE's with blackened out trim & body color door handles, if they had did that it would truly be more stealthy looking!

One of my two 1985 Maximas came from the factory with the chrome trim (wifeys) and one came with the chrome blacked out (mine). I think one may have been a GL and the other an SL, but my 1985 Maxima brochures are in one of the many dozens of boxes I have yet to unpack from our move, and I don't know which box they are in, and I am too lazy to look it up online. I would bet Mr. MONTE knows off the top of his head.

Hehe, for the 1985 2nd gen the chrome would have been the GL, the blackened would have been the SE. Indeed they did trim out the 2nd gen SE with black trim!

Very nice, but I thought the midnight edition came with black wheels. I was very close to purchasing my vehicle from Route 46, but when talks about payments from my previous lease came in, I ended up walking out the door with the magnetic strip on my credit card scratched to hell.

Did they let you keep the original rims also? Also thought that the midnight edition came with the black 19s from the factory. Not a dealer installed option.

1200 for midnight package, you could have sold your factory SR wheels for around 1k. And bought the rims for 1400, and get the spoiler and diffuser and still be ahead. Not sure if it's wise to buy the midnight especially since it's dealer installed options not factory installed options.

Not a real midnight. Just a dealer making it one with the accessories added.

Looks better without that stripe. There are too many competing lines on the Max to have that stripe complicating it.

or could have powder coated the silver wheels gloss black for $300 and had a ton of money left for mods....

Has anyone used scotch guard or anything else on the alcantara? If so what did you use and how well did it work? This is my first car with this material and I would like to do something to protect it especially on the seats and steering wheel.
