Would you do anything different?

Hello to all new member here...I don't currently own a Max but plan on purchasing one next year congrats to all of you who have one it's a beautiful car I remember the first time I saw one out it was a what is THAT moment...anyway my question is after owning one for a while is there anything you would do differently as far as trim level, accessories etc...I've been telling myself my next car would have a sunroof and after seeing the panoramic in my wife's Explorer I love it but kinda bummed to hear about issues with it on the SL...thanks for your thoughts

I wish I had haggled more to get the SR. But still very happy with my SV. It was moreso the price vs additional features I would have gotten. None of the dealers in my area were really budging with the SR's nearly as much as the SV for some reason. I guess they thought it would have been a hot commodity.

I wish I would have also been a little more patient and would've joined this forum earlier before test driving so I would've known what to look and listen for in potential problems. I would say if and when you drive yours listen for cabin air leaks, any extreme rattle noises, and driver seat rocking. Personally myself I wish the door wells weren't so wide they catch so much dirt after even a few days. So my advice is yes this car is super smooth and sexy but don't let that detour you from doing your homework. And just because one Maxima seems perfect doesn't mean all of them are assembled the same so test drive everyone especially the one you are going to buy.

I have the Platinum, but getting it was not very quick. I submitted five offers between June 3rd and September 10th before one was accepted. Made sure to get one with the exterior 'puddle' lights and interior accent lights installed at the factory, and then had my dealer add the rear valence diffuser before picking up the car. Those type of accessories are not easily installed correctly at home.

I had the double-panel roof for seven years on my 2009 Premium, and have it on my 2016 Platinum, and have never had any problems whatsoever, but some folks have had a little trouble with it.
