Do these ever change?

When in sport mode on the dash display does anyone ever see the oil pressure or transmission temperature digital gauges ever fluctuate or change. Whenever I view mine they are always at the same level and seem to me to be just a fake reading display.

Attached is a pic of mine.

When cold, the transmission temperature reads very low. After some miles, the.temperature slowly creeps up. I'll check with Torque Pro and confirm how much the temperature fluctuates.

The two readouts are Oil Pressure (left) And Gear Oil temperature (right), I hardly see any movment on mine. Will keep an eye on it and report back after my road trip in a few weeks.

I am pretty sure that they are actually glorified idiot lights and not actual functional gauges.

Yeah that was what I was thinking. You would think they could made them functional. Because usually that info is being supplied to the ECM anyways. All they have to do is display it on the dash.

Hooked up Torque Pro and configured a transmission temperature and Coolant temperature display. Unfortunately, I could not find the oil Pressure PID to add to the display. Nevertheless, on a ~20 mile trip, once up to operating temperature, there was only a minor variation of ~188 - 194F in temperature, so probably not enough to notice on the LCD display. What I found very interesting, the coolant and transmission temperature display identical temperature output. Perhaps the CVT is cooled by the same source or Torque Pro is mapping the wrong ECU PID for CVT temperature.

Think so. Only 2 settings: Cold and "Normal" Perhaps in a worst case scenario there is a "Too Hot"

The only time I see the transmission temp. change is when it's cold and then climbs in 3 to 4 increments to the "normal" level. But I do see it move. Since the cars are so new I wouldn't expect that gauge to go higher unless there's a serious malfunction in the system but only time will tell (hopefully I never get that warning).
