Just purchased my Maxima this afternoon and when trying to register my vehicle with Nissan Connect it says VIN not valid. Is there a problem or is this normal? Does it take time?

It won't register off the bat. Wait until you get some junk mail about it in a month then try. But to be honest, it's not worth 20.00 a month to start or lock the car from a smart phone. The apps on the radio display suck. Use your smartphone.

 

That's the plan. Just wanted to register it. Not paying $20 for something my GMC was giving for free.

 

I had to call customer support before my car would register with Nissan Connect. They did something while on the phone, and since then I've had no problem connecting to it.
