Unhappy Blue car blues

I got the Deep Blue Pearl paint, and while I'm happy with it, I wish it were a shade brighter blue. I've seen some Sentra's around with the ideal blue , and wish it could have been more like that.

The weird part is, if I look around at pictures of my car on the net, some of them appear to be a brighter blue than mine. i have a 2017, was the shade perhaps a bit different in 2016 or are all those light blue maximas that i see doctored photos?

* ps- yes I'm sure I don't have the Storm Blue

Doctored. Nissan uses the same blue on all of their cars.

Max looks amazing in the deep blue pearl. Enjoy what you've got!

Besides, it's probably just the lighting you're seeing it in.

I've wondered if the guy that does the webpage for nissan is color blind. When I bought mine I thought I wanted storm blue. The saleperson warned me that it doesn't look like the webpage and then proceeded to show me a car that looked almost black. I ended up getting the deep blue pearl...

Yeah the storm blue is almost a grayish black. I don't think it was very popular, they dropped it from the 2018 lineup. I was just surprised that the Blue Pearl was a bit darker than I hoped. You really have to be In bright sunlight for the color to really shine.

Most of the ones I see in my neighborhood are red or white.

I feel like the blue on the maxima is all over the place. Depending on lighting in the picture, natural sunlight etc. Some I see look a dark miserable blue, others seem bright, so I know what you mean. The only colour that does this car's body lines any justice is the Grey

I'm glad I got mine in blue since I have only ever seen one other on the road. I came close to getting pearl white like my 4th Gen but something told me there won't be too many blue one's around so it makes it stand out just that little bit more.

I like the Deep Blue Pearl since it looks Deep Blue in the shade and Blue Pearl in direct sunlight, sort of 2 cars in 1

They are 20 inch SPEC-1 Racing SP-08 sitting on 245/35. The car is still beautiful and awesome to drive.

Thanks. Do you know of any 18 “ rims that are similar? I have stock suspension and don’t want to do any mods.

Your wife looks sharp or the car looks sharp?

You don't need any mods. My car has stock suspension. The maxima can handle 20 inch wheels with ease and with my tire size it didn't even change my speedometer.
