Whine when accelerating

Hi all, I have a 17 Platinum that has a faint "whine" when accelerating between 10 and 20 mph. You can only hear it with the windows down, and it sound like it is coming from the right side. I have had it into the dealer 3 times now and here is what they have been saying:

1st time: they said it was the power steering, claims that this is normal on the max.
2nd time: again, power steering, but also said they did not hear it.
3rd time, i rode the shop foreman around, and he said he hears it, but thinks it is wind noise going through the front of the car, and that is=t is nothing to worry about.

It is very frustrating, and ONLY happens in that speed range. I am worried it is transmission related, but the dealership keeps telling me it is nothing.

It is a faint, whistle, whine, when pressing the gas and only from 10-20 MPH.

THOUGHTS?

On the off chance its alternator EMI getting into the radio, turn the radio off and see if the whine disappears. Seems inconsistent with windows down. You could try putting the transmission in different modes to see if it changes its tune. Might isolate the problem. I hate that "its normal" answer.

Tough call if the dealership doesn't hear it/can't diagnose it. How many miles do you have left on warrantee?

I was just about to post about this. I too have this problem. Light acceleration whine noise. I turned off the engine amplifier setting and this helped a little but I still hear it. Turning off the radio does not make a difference. I tried to record it but couldn't catch it. Don't see how this has anything to do with power steering??? It didn't do it during the first few thousand miles. I have 8k on my max now. Going to take it in for its 2nd oil change soon and I will ask about it then.
