Hey guys,
I totaled my 2010 TL with 227k miles...well insurance totaled it but the damage was only around 6k. Now I'm looking at a 2016/2017 Maxima SR and probably a certified used from Nissan dealer. Hopefully I can crank out 200k miles on this also. I'm just looking at basic mods for the car which was the same I did with my TL...I had Tein Coilovers and 20x10 rims, a mid pipe, and roof spoiler. I'm looking to do the same with the Maxima but it doesnt look like Tein has coilovers for the 8th gen maxima. What coilover options are out there that dont break the bank. Tein were inexpensive and had great quality and rode great. Is there anything comparable? What is everyone running?
I saw there are some Ebay vendors for the roof spoiler and trunk that will color match for you. Are there any sellers you all have used and can vouch for?
I know I will have to get new rims cause of bolt pattern but my tires have 80% tread left...will I have any issues rubbing 255/35/20 on a 20x10 rim once lowered? I figure keep the tires.
Thanks for all the help and input you guys provide and I'll keep searching as well.

Lots of 2016s and 17s now coming off lease. You should find some decent deals. As far as the spoilers go, I have had good luck in getting color matched products as fair prices. Best check EBAY for the latest feedback to be sure. The "wheels" (Not rims) lead to some great discussions in our group on fitment etc. When you get down to the 35 aspect sidewall, be prepared for a hard ride on a 20 inch wheel! In contrast, member 414 swears by his 22 inchers! Here in the midwest, your car would be challenged to negotiate in the snow it it is lowered too much but maybe you live in the warm weather. Good luck and do report back what kind of Maxima deals you see.
